STATE BUILDING CODE ADOPTION AND AMENDMENT OF THE 2015 EDITION OF THE
INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE (IECC),
Effective July 1, 2016
WASHINGTON STATE EMNERGY CODE is composed of the following;
COMMERCIAL PROVISIONS - Chapter 51-11C WAC,
RESIDENTIAL PROVISIONS - Chapter 51-11R WAC, &
APPENDIX CHAPTERS
Based on the 2015 IECC; "Residential" includes One- and Two-family dwellings, Townhouses and Group R-2 and R-3 buildings three stories or less "Commercial" includes all buildings not covered under "Residential"
