Contract between a general contractor and subcontractor. The general contractor (sometimes referred to as the *prime contractor) has an agreement with the owner. The general contractor lets one or more *sub* contracts to people specializing in the particular trades, and those people are logically called *subcontractors*. The general contractor has a contract with the owner, while subcontractors have contracts with the general contractor.
