Keying Systems & Nomenclature
Keying Procedures, Systems, and Nomenclature introduced a procedural system of keying terminology radically different. The need for standard terminology was clear but the acceptance of the new system was slow. Manufacturers, Distributers, Building Owners, and Operators were frustrated over the use of various and differing terms. Among those using the terms, different meanings and interpretations were applied.
As a result, errors where made, and frequent correspondence occurred between manufacturers and distributors, seeking clarification. This new up-to-date manual has the proper terminology currently used.
